During my time in employment and at university I have acquired a working knowledge of several operating systems including Windows and Unix.
Over many years I have also developed a considerable experience of general business applications including Microsoft Office, Lotus Smart Suite and Sun Star Office.
From my trips to the Aberdovey outward bounds center I learned team building and communication skills that I could put into practice when I was elected design and implementation team leader for this year's group project.
For over two years I have held a valid drivers license with no penalty points.

This year in industry taught me about the commercial realties of work. I got to deal with real clients and work on projects that had a real financial value. My work was diverse and included; writing help documents, testing low-level code to high-level requirements specifications and the development and maintenance of new and current applications.

While working aboard I gained practical experience of using SQL to query Oracle databases and format the results into dynamic HTML using ASP and JavaScript. This knowledge I value highly but I think I benefited more from living and working in another country in ways that can't simply be defined with clever looking abbreviations.

Providing technical support to staff in one of the largest and busiest hospitals in Wales.
There my duties included deal with system faults and requests ranging from network connection failures to jammed printers. Handling the installation of new PC's, setting them up for connection to the network and maintaining them with hardware and software upgrades.

Assembling computers from all of their component boards and devices. Installing all required software such as the OS, device drivers and applications.
Providing technical support and applications help to customers.

Assembling and repairing electrical circuitry. Managing repair records in an Access database.

Bar and table service. Changing barrels and optics. Stocktaking and delivering food.
From my bar work I became used to working in a highly social atmosphere and having to work very difficult hours with very little notice.

Finding time to relax is very important to me and in my spare time I enjoy socializing with my friends, keeping fit and playing poker, pool or 9-Ball. On a personal level computer graphics and web design have always appealed to me and currently I am involved in an Internet venture with two other student.
